The Amazon Picking Challenge team at Berkeley has provided a wealth of 2D and 3D data on the contest items by running them through the scanning system described in their ICRA 2014 work. Detailed models and raw data can be downloaded at:

The official items list has been posted on the details page. The list contains 27 different items commonly available through Amazon. In addition to this we have posted some rules for video submissions due Dec. 31st that will win you a free set of items and a contest shelf in the mail (see here). Bonus point values and JSON identifier names will be posted at a later date.

Clearpath robotics agrees to provide a PR2 robot as a base platform for challengers interested in using the PR2 at the competition that can't bring their own PR2!

More detail on the official rules has been posted on the details page, along with a Gazebo model of a shelf similar to the contest shelf. Challenge registration is still in-the-works.

We are excited to officially announce the first Amazon Picking Challenge! The competition will take place at ICRA 2015 in Seattle, Washington. More competition details and sign-ups will be announced in the near future.
